We bought out stove a few months ago and were dismayed at how poorly it fit into our kitchen with its standard base cabinets. The repair strips were supposed to fill in space on the side of the stove to keep crumbs and debris from falling between the stove and the sides of the cabinets. They come with an adhesive strip to secure them to the stove but because of odd small bumps in the stove itself the strips cannot get solid secure purchase. I am sure they will eventually pop off and when they do we will probably have to use a silicon adhesiveor somethingto hold them in place. While they do extend to the back of the stove proper there is a gap on the back of the stove that required still another trim piece. The side pieces do not extend that additional distance which means there are gapsstillbehind the stove. I am not even sure we installed the pieces right side up but it was the only way they seemed to have even a slim chance of working. LG warns that the stove will stick out further into the room than other stoves but it did nothing to make the side of the stove look finished. There is strip of black behind the stainless steel front control panel and the oven door. The stove still looks like Cinderellas ugly sister trying to jam her foot into the glass slipper. The only way to make it look reasonably attractive would be to replace my current base cabinets with custom made ones that are deeper than standard and to start all over with a new countertop. Perhaps LG ought to put a kitchen designer or several on the appliance design teams.
