Makes Getting Laundry Done Quickly So Much Easier

Laundry in my house is a never ending mountain. With our family of four we end up doing at least 2 loads of laundry a day, sometimes more on the weekend, so when it came time to replacing our dryer we knew we needed one that was up to the task. I am a big fan of the size of the dryer. Samsung has done a great job in offering a lot of space in a more compact design. With the dryer specifically, they tend to tick fairly far out from the wall typically almost blocking the entry way due to the connection to the vent. The Samsung dryer is slightly taller and skinnier giving it a more elegant look and making it not look out of place in our laundry room. The design also provides more cubic space for clothes. The noise level for the dryer is also great because in essence, it is non-existent. You can start drying the clothes and expect not to hear from your dryer again until the clothes are done. The dryer offers several great settings and an easy to use control system that makes getting our clothes dry and fluffy every time simple and easy. The lint capture is a new design for me, but I find it to be significantly cleaner and easier to manage than the typical screen. So far, we have not had any issues with some of our clothes not being fully dry when the load is done, which is amazing. While it is not a deal breaker, I was under the impression that the dryer could be set up with the Samsung Smartthings App, but instead you have to download the Samsung Washer App and even there it is limited functionality. After spending a while on the phone with Samsung, so far we have not been able to actually connect the dryer, but can use the diagnostic tool. At this point, we don't have any problems for me to verify that that service is working, but it appears to be. It would have been nice to be able to start the laundry remotely on my way home, but the more likely scenario is that you move the clothes and turn the dryer on, so I guess it may be more of a novelty and it doesn't take away from how much more convenient this dryer is for an active and busy family.

Capacity and Noise Level

Capacity and noise level are the highlights of this set. I’m comparing to my old set which I inherited with the purchase of our home. We’ve been able to almost double the load size with this new dryer. Before we would need to limit our washer load because the dryer would not handle a full load from the washer. Our installer broke the water valve handle when installing the new washer so he was only able to install the dryer, which is silent and amazing! Once the valve is repair and washer is installed I will update my review.

So far I am really liking this dryer. It truly is smart and detects the exact amount of minutes to dry your load of clothes. They come out exactly the right amount of dryness--no dampness and also not overly heated. I like how you can use the smart technology or you can manually set a time increment. It also has several settings for delicates or fluff dry. My only complaint is that the inside is dark grey and there is no light when you open the door so it is impossible to see if you forget to pull out anything. Our old dryer had this light and I am very surprised this modern unit doesn't have that basic feature. You also can change the orientation of the door to either side to best accommodate your space.

I really like this Samsung dryer. It works very well and my clothes come out nice and dry. This dryer runs quietly and works to dry clothes quickly. The lint trap is so easy to remove, empty and return to the dryer. The cycle options are nice and it'll dry big heavy comforters without issue. I like that the door can be hung from either side. This came with the door on the correct side for us but I like that it can be changed if needed. The end of cycle tune is a little obnoxious and I so wish it had an option for a basic signal. I also wish this dryer had a light inside that would turn on when the door is opened. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this dryer and am happy with the results.
