A Newfangled Washing Machine That Does Well

Coming off from a 30 year old washer that was still working but starting to show age, this new GE is radically different than the old style washers. It's a learning curve for me. I've only had the GE for two weeks, and my clothes seem to get washed thoroughly. It just takes so much longer than what I'm used to for a regular cycle. The quick wash is fast, thank heavens. My only negative would be that this washer is noisy. Noisy. It says in the manual to expect that, but to hear it on another floor is surprising. The washer is solid, it does everything it is supposed to, and clothes come out clean. It's just a really different machine than what I am used to.

Taking a little to get used to. Had old washer for 18 yrs. Assuming water levels are appropriate for my load sizes. Water seems to stop filling awfully quick.

I bought GE Hydrowave washer back in 2012 and it lasted 10 years. I bought the GE GTW465 because one it was similar to the GE Hydrowave with great features only this washer was bigger. I like that they changed the agitator design (no clothing strings get caught in it) and the fill cycles add more water.
