I was so excited to get a new refrigerator and spent extra to get the middle drawer for my small kids snacks. I love that feature. In fact I loved this fridge until it stopped cooling in the freezer then the next day in the refrigerator the week of Thanksgiving! Called the store I purchased from and was informed they are not allowed by Whirlpool to send a technician within the first year of my extended warranty. Only Whirlpool is allowed to service in the first year and it will take a week to get a repair man to come look at it. I live a huge city not a rural area where I might understand fewer repair people near. That is unacceptable for a brand new refrigerator. I am starting to seriously doubt my decision and Whirlpool customer service.

The compatible water filters are expensive and don't last very long. So I installed an external water filter and removed the internal filter. But now the refrigerator beeps six times very loudly any time it dispenses water because I don't have a filter installed. So basically, it refuses to shut up unless/until I accede to its demand that I buy the overpriced and useless internal water filters. And Whirlpool customer service has been no help whatsoever.

This refrigerator meets all of my needs. The drawers pull out easily, the shelves have a nice feature where you can pull and drop the shelf. I love the no finger prints on the exterior. A little pricey but it was worth it.
